Water scarcity in Pakistan is turning into a national crisis. With no real help from Pakistani authorities, citizens are left to fend for themselves. In the rural areas surrounding the vicinities of the brick kilns, electricity is also scarce or unreliable, meaning electric water pumps are not an option.
Where SMI Comes In
In the early years of the ministry, our founder and director, Tanveer, helped install hand pump wells in the areas of, Pensara, Khushpur and Trakhani, Faisalabad. These water wells were a huge help to the local communities and ensured people had access to drinking water close to their homes.
